Photography makes me happy. We did a quick photoshoot, my first one in a while. We took these pictures in a tiny old attic apartment. Even though I wasn't trying to do this, these pictures capture how shitty the three of us have felt the last few days. We're sick and tired and we've been cooped up in the apartment being unproductive. Sometimes it feels good to do nothing, so I can appreciate the last few days...sort of. I'm so ready to get back to Chicago though, I want my schedule back!

These pictures are so cooool! How did she make the candle do that!!?? Also, I noticed you've been skipping days....just saying.
ReplyDeleteLove these pics...nice use of darkness! Absence has an interesting function in art. Sometimes the *words* a paper doesn't say hold so much significance...the details a painting *doesn't* include, the light a photo *doesn't* contain. Often times, absence (in this case absence of light) can bring a new kind of presence to the painting.
